Native American Arrowheads Rogue River OregonSix arrowheads rogue river, jackson county, oregon. You are viewing two rogue river points adn four other points. The points range frmo 3/4 to 1 1/2 in length. We do not know the names of the materials these were made from so all we can do is describe the colors. The upper center arrowhead and two lower small ones are a mahogany color. The two upper small arrowheads are black in color and the center lower arrowhead is a green with rbown tones. The frmae measures 5 3/4 inches square. We purchased this grouping at an auction in 1997. They were offered for sale by the family of amateur archeologist and collector, norman e. Wright, of ashland, or who passed in 1970. A short information sheet included with thsi grouping statesmr wright began collecting artifacts in the 1960's and made extensive finds in the ashland, grants pass and medford and surrounding areas of oregon. rPimarily interested in oregon artifacts, he had one of the premier collections of rogue river type points in the country. Due to the rarity fo the rogue river types, many of these show some slight repair, expertly done by mr. Wright to a tip or a wing. All artifacts were found on private property, with permission. We do not know anything more about this item. There may be some repairs as indicated in the above statement. The back of the frame is sealed and we will not open the frame to examine the points. There are scratches no the frame. These items are truly beautiful and would make a wonderful addition to any native american/arrowhead collection. We try to describe our items as accurately sa possible but we are not experts. The items rae not new so keep that in mind when bidding. They come from collecting, estate sales, local auctions adn sometimes family members. Please ask questions before bidding. All items are sold as is where is.
