Nice Ohio Platform Pipe Indian Artifact Look

Hello pipe collectors! Here we haev a very nice little platform pipe probably from the mississippian period although it favors the style of the hopewell platform pipes. It came from scotio co ohio. It is maed from what appears to be a type of sandstone or hardstone of some sort. Still has alot of red ochre on it especially around the bowl and the platform. Tom davis said it was probably missisippian although he said it did look like a hopewell pipe. He wanted to paper it but i didnt see any need because its definately a nobrainer! It has a coupel ancient nicks that are well polished over. A complete nice pipe. It measures 2 inches long and 1 5/8 inches tall or maybe a bit more.

It is definately a killer piece. I am forced to sell some pieces out of my personal collection to help pay for another colleciton i bought.

I am gonna put a olw reserve for this quality of pipe. But dont be afraid to bid and dont let it get away, if i dont get the reserve i wont sell it period, this is the first time i have ever priced this pipe. Nice patina on this piece and a really ince polish. Red ochre real evident no this piece! Postal money orders preferered/. I will gaurantee this piece to paper as authentic with any authenticator in the business or your money back! Thanks jason.
